HOW TO MAKE A TAPA CLOTH

WALT: write an explanation that is clear and easy to follow, and includes headings and detail

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               
                                                                                                                                               SKETCHING SHELLS

Firstly, we drew shells on scrap paper. We chose our best sketch. We sketched just the outlines and main lines in the shell

TRANSFERRING DESIGN         

Next we transferred the best shell design onto cardboard. We also added a border with different patterns. Then we went over the main lines with black vivid.

SCRUNCHING IT UP
Finally, we scrunched it up 50 times. We did that so that it would become soft like a cloth. It felt soft.

Adding Colour

Finally, we added colour to our design. We used brown and black pastels. Mine looked like a real Tapa cloth and I felt happy about my design

Writing

My goals are:

• Use a wider variety of sentence lengths  in my  writing.
• Transfer ideas from my  plan more consistently
• and logically to my draft.
• Proof read my writing carefully for errors.

Reading

My goals are:

• Continue to practice my oral reading skills.
• Further  develop the ability to identify messages within texts,as well as the purposes of different  text types

Maths

My goals are:

• Continue to develop my understanding of place value and all whole numbers.

• Apply basic addition,subtraction and some multiplication facts when problem solving.
