I am a Year 4 student at Tamaki Primary School In Auckland NZ. I am in Room 6 and my teacher is Mr Craig. My favourite subjects are maths and reading. I like maths because I like to learn how to count in 12's. I like reading so I can learn big words like information and other long words. In my spare time I like to play in the park and I like to play with my friends. In the future I want to be a teacher and become a Netball player.

HOW TO MAKE A TAPA CLOTH
SKETCHING SHELLS
Firstly, we drew shells on scrap paper. We chose our best sketch. We sketched just the outlines and main lines in the shell
TRANSFERRING DESIGN
Next we transferred the best shell design onto cardboard. We also added a border with different patterns. Then we went over the main lines with black vivid.
SCRUNCHING IT UP
Finally, we scrunched it up 50 times. We did that so that it would become soft like a cloth. It felt soft.
Adding Colour
Adding Colour
Finally, we added colour to our design. We used brown and black pastels. Mine looked like a real Ta pa cloth and I felt happy about my design.
