🛡Task Seven: Camp Shield 🛡

WALT: design a shield based on Camp Raglan.

For this activity we had to design a shield for the base of my shield was just a plain design then I got the idea to add our school logo in and just put like a banner around it and I wrote the words Tamaki Primary School on it. It turned out to be really nice and I loved how it turned out. I think next time I should add more detail onto it and draw a little more photos on it.

🍰🎂Technology Reflection T4W8 🍰🎂

I am learning to reflect on what we did today at technology. 

Today for technology we made rock cakes it started off really easy then it got easier as it went along. It was really easy to make and it was really yummy. The ingredients we used for this was flour,coconut,oil,milk,sugar and 1 egg. We had to combine it then put it on a baking tray. When we out it out on the baking tray it was everywhere it wasn't all the same shape but when we put it in the oven it started getting more circular and it looked really nice. When we got it out of the oven it look a little bit like a rock because like it wasn't all the same size and they were different shapes. Mrs Tuipolotu really liked the way me and Amelia's one turned out and she said that ours was the best and we got so excited.

Our rock cakes turned out to be really yummy and it even tasted good. I think next time I can work on my listening skills because today when we started making the mixture it turned out runny and then Mrs Tuipolotu came and put some more flour in and it turned out to be perfect. Here are the ingredients and cleaning supplies...

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of coconut

1/2 cup of milk

1/2 cup of oil

Camp Task Room 9 & 10

Camp Task

Today in room 10 we had room 9 for our friday morning, They were in our class to discuss with room 10 about 'Participating and contributing' and 'Relating to others'. Today was a day to communicate with each others and talk about alot of statements related to our to key points, Which is Participating and contributing and Relating to others. 

Our first key point that we had to work on was participating and contributing. We got into our groups and brained stormed some keywords related to our key points. Next, we presented our work in front of the classes.

Our second key point that we had to work on was relating to others. We made another brainstorm  about relating to others and then we got up and shared with the class.

🎉 Celebrating Me 🎉

WALT: reflect on what we did for our activity today.
Today we did a activity where we had to take a photo of ourselfs and then stick it on a paper then we had to write 5 things about whats good about us and I wrote I am a good friend, I am a good netball player and more. But then Ms Kyla called us together and she said we hae to go around to everyones paper and write something positive about them I went around to everyones and wrote something really positive. And then I got to my bestfriends one Amelia and then I wrote a ton of stuff because she is a really good friend and she has a positive mindset. Here is what my classmates wrote about me: Your very positive, You always try your best,Fast runner,You are smart,You have an attractive smile,Rugby Player, Like your my bestfraand (Amelia) , I am good at sports,Your very good at coming to school,Like your my bestfriend and your long curly hair, Very talented at netball,You are a bright girl, You have a growth mindset,I like how you are very smart. It is important to recognise value in yourself because if you don't recognise it then you would feel kind of weird not knowing your strengths and stuff. I feel happy because I never knew that's what people thought about me and it is really good knowing that because it kind of makes me stronger in my own way.

This is a activity that I did with my friend Amelia. Basketball Reflection T4W4

Today for basketball we did a drill called layups or layouts our coach's name was Malek he was really fun and he knew all the drills just like that he also taught us to put the ball left shoulder then dribble it that will help you get away from your defender. I think that basketball session was fun because there was only 6 of us and I found it really fun because it wasn't as crowded as it is normally.

Sustain Silent Reading - Electronic Access

Electronic Access

Today for reading I red a book called Electronic Access I thought this book was interesting because it showed how in the olden days they used latches to lock their houses and then it went up and up until it went to a lock on the door. I found this interesting because the people in the olden days didn't have fancy equipment like we have today they just used what they had around them. A Padlock Inventor in 1921, American Harry Soref founded Master lock, and in 1924 he and his team invented the first laminated steel padlock. Prior to this, padlocks were not sturdy enough and easily destroyed. In this text it doesn't say the inventor's name.

What Makes Tamaki Special?

Today we had to get into groups of 4 and describe what makes tamaki special??? we wrote our responsibilities the staff the kidscan lunches and more. I think this activity was really fun because Ms Aireen is going to show it to the other teachers and they are probably going to make some changes to the school. I think that Tamaki can be a better place if everyone starts respecting school property and if they stop disrespecting staff like swearing at them....
 Here is what I think about Tamaki...

What have I liked about my learning here:

I've liked a lot of things like meeting new teachers and learning new things that I didn't know about before like Maths (Algebra) I think that my confidence has boosted up and I am ready for college next year.

Technology Reflection T4W2

Technology Reflection

Today for technology we were cooking Macaroni & Cheese. It was my first time making it and I really enjoyed it. The ingredients we used for this was onions, flour milk cheese salt pepper mixed herbs butter and water. The equipment we used was a mixing bowl, measuring cup, colander , serving spoon, chopping board, knife, frying pan, whisk, wooden spoon, foil, stove and the oven. The cleaning supplies we uesd fot this was tea towels a cloth and soap. It was really fun because we got to learn how to use the oven and it was really fun because I don't really help cook at my house so it's good to have experience so I can go home and cook with my dad.
